Sors-tu.ca
Creative Direction and Branding
Sors-tu is a cultural webzine focused on the performing arts scene — covering live shows, concerts, and new album releases. The site was originally a project initiated by Billets.ca, but as the parent company grew, it became increasingly difficult to dedicate the time and resources necessary to maintain and update it. Eventually, the site was handed over to two former employees who continued its development independently.
Before the transfer, I led a full brand refresh to modernize the publication’s visual identity and better position it for the next phase of its evolution. A new logo and complete website redesign were created, establishing a visual language that was both grunge-inspired and structured — raw yet clean — appealing to a target demographic of readers aged 20 to 40.
To improve navigation and user comprehension, primary colours were used as a visual code to distinguish different content categories such as interviews, live show reviews, and album critiques.
In addition, all contributors were professionally photographed for the new site, creating a cohesive and consistent visual style across author pages and articles. This unified presentation reinforced the brand’s identity and gave Sors-tu a modern, recognizable presence within Quebec’s cultural media landscape.
