Dodge Challenger
Photographie et retouches
This photography project was created as part of a school assignment where we were asked to shoot a product. While most students chose small objects that could be photographed easily in a studio environment, I wanted to take on a bigger challenge — photographing a full-sized car.
I selected the Dodge Challenger, which had just been released on the market at the time. To gain access to the vehicle, I collaborated with a local car dealership. I positioned the car strategically in the parking lot based on the natural lighting conditions, using sunlight to sculpt its distinctive curves and muscular proportions.
The shoot was followed by extensive retouching sessions in Photoshop. Every reflection from the surrounding environment — buildings, sky, and pavement — was meticulously removed to give the final image the appearance of a professional studio shoot.
1. Product Photography
The photos were captured outdoors under natural light, using reflectors to balance shadows and highlight the car’s body lines.
2. Retouching
All post-production work was done in Photoshop, removing every unwanted reflection from the car’s surfaces to produce a flawless, pristine result – creating the illusion that the photos were taken in a controlled studio setting.
